In America girls and boys become sexually active when they are 15-16, by 18 they will have partner to date with, dating isn't taboo in America, and if someone have sex without or before marriage is also not taboo. But more than that, even child born out of wedlock also is not taboo.

Here in India its not like that, here if some lady become pregnant before marriage then her family, relatives, neighbours and society make her life hell. They badmouth her, taunt her, disrespect her, make fun of her, don't talk to her, feel ashamed to be related to her or talk to her, make her feel ashamed of herself as if she did big sin, sometimes her own family and friends disown her. While if the child is born, then people don't respect the child, call him/her bastard if they know he/she is born out of wedlock, and sometimes child don't get admission in any school. In short it is still a big taboo. But in America it seems like ladies there don't mind getting pregnant before marriage. What happens to child out of wedlock there, do they feel bad about it? Why do people not care if someone have child out of wedlock, is it because they are very forward. Why is it not taboo as it is here, I mean how do people there view it and why they don't mind?

In a democracy, majority rules the roost. America boasts of a great democracy and has the habit of belittling every other nation. And it is in America that most of the babies are born out of wedlock. Naturally these babies are in a majority. How then the American society can look at this as taboo?

Religion is really declining in the western world, and that was one of the biggest reasons that people waited until marriage to have babies and why it was so scandalous to get pregnant without being married. Many people don't believe that it's a "sin" to have sex/get pregnant out of wedlock anymore. The media also practically glamorizes sex nowadays, and they make it seem like something that's an important part of any relationship...not something sacred that should be reserved for the true love of your life.

Actually, ii was born out of we lock a year before my parents' married when my mother was in her mid 30's. I turned out intelligent and healthy. My parents divorced 7 years later and things are tough but I'm still fine. Rather than general out-out-of-wed-locks, do you mean teen pregnancies? Teen pregnabcies are a taboo, always have been, and always will be. My school is riddled with pregnant girls ages 14 - 18. It is how teens are these days, not caring. They are surrounded by people who suport them rather than scold them which makes it seem okay. AND NOT TO MENTION the television shows here like Teen Mom and 16 And Pregnant glamorizing pregnancies. The school systems are failing acedemically as well, so teens are not getting info they need about protection esspecially due to christians wanting to bann Sex Education from schools, resulting in even more pregnancies. I, for one, don't condone teen pregnancies and am not happy when I see one. So don't generalize us Americans into clumps of taboo idiots.

Actually there is a strong stigma against unwed mothers and against young girls having sex. A girl having sex in high school can quickly be labeled in very negative ways and then shunned by both boys and girls in her classes and on the internet.

Young mothers who become preganant in high school have a very small chance of graduating and and even smaller chance of going to college. The vast majority end up on welfare and struggle financially. Men hesitate to marry an unwed mother with children as they often do not want to raise another man's child. Unwed mothers fill the welfare roles and are the highest group in poverty.

Children who are raised on welfare and without a father often do not finish school, their chances are far less than average and they can be looked down upon throughout their school years, and often get in trouble with the law. Kids without a father figure have a higher than average rate of drug and alcohol addiction, entering juvenile facilities and foster homes, and becoming wards of the state. These kids do not have an easy life.

Why people care less in the West(because believe me, there's still some hate going on), is that people over here realize you can't blame a kid for being born, so they never hate the kid, and hating the Mom, will hurt the kid too.

And that's just not fair of course, to be a 2nd rate citizen, for something you had absolutely NO influence in.

So it's basically an understanding, and ideal that you can't damn people for things, that have very little importance in life, your actions do not influence your worth as a human-being.

easily, ii replace into born out of we lock a twelve months till now my dad and mom' married whilst my mom replace into in her mid 30's. I became out clever and healthy. My dad and mom divorced 7 years later and issues are difficult yet i'm nevertheless high quality. extremely than typical out-out-of-wed-locks, do you propose teenager pregnancies? teenager pregnabcies are a taboo, constantly have been, and constantly would be. My college is riddled with pregnant women an prolonged time 14 - 18. it extremely is how youth are at the instant, no longer worrying. they are surrounded via human beings who suport them extremely than scold them which makes it look ok. and to no longer point out the television shows here like teenager mom and sixteen And Pregnant glamorizing pregnancies. the college systems are failing acedemically as nicely, so youth at the instant are not getting information they choose for approximately risk-free practices esspecially via christians desirous to bann intercourse coaching from colleges, ensuing in much greater pregnancies. I, for one, do no longer condone teenager pregnancies and am no longer satisfied as quickly as I see one. So do no longer generalize us individuals into clumps of taboo idiots.
